It’s been 5 months since getting engaged and life has been simply wonderful! However, one unexpected thing is that I’ve been asked a slew of questions that I have been mostly unprepared to answer, mainly: ‘So when is the wedding?!?’ Everyone wants to know! It may seem like it’s the logical next step, get engaged = plan a wedding, but that’s incredibly fast-paced and between moving and traveling, Alex and I are still in the engagement party phase! Although I will be going wedding dress shopping this weekend in Germany (and I can’t wait!), and we have settled on the location, so much is still up in the air for the wedding! To be completely honest, I feel a little pressured by the standard engagement to wedding timeline, and what I have decided is that it should really be entirely up to you.
Besides planning the various festivities, one thing I feel like you can never start working on too soon is your wedding registry. You don’t want to be caught last minute throwing a bunch of items together that you might end up having to exchange or return. You also want to take time to go back and forth about what items you need and what you will actually use…. yes that Kitchen Aid set is super cute, but will you actually use a full food processor and dicing kit if you’re not a Chopped Champion in training?
I was so happy when Wayfair reached out to me about using their registry service! Wayfair Registry makes it easier than ever for couples to conveniently register for everything home, all in one place, by selecting from more than 8 million products across all styles, including outdoor, kitchen, bed and bath, living room and home renovation.
They also offer free shipping on all orders shipped directly to the couple, white glove delivery for large items, an extended 90-day return policy, access to dedicated registry specialists who offer personalized support and guidance, and more. I particularly love that Wayfair Registry serves as a hub for couples, letting you personalize your registry page by uploading photos, sharing notes with guests and tagging your favorite finds to let people know what your must-haves are!
In addition, Wayfair Registry offers a “group gifting” option, where guests can contribute a dollar amount to big-ticket items like sofas, large appliances, or home renovation needs like lighting fixtures, plumbing materials and more. This is super helpful, especially if you’ve been pining after that Le Creuset Cast Iron Braiser.
Since Alex and I are in the middle of moving, it’s been really nice being able to go through the selections on Wayfair and plan ahead for what we think we might want on our registry. Wayfair offers an extensive selection that we can both can agree on and it’s been so helpful in bookmarking those items we want to plan ahead on especially as we shop for our new place currently!
