Ahh The Parker… there’s not really much to say other than pure perfection. I’m sure you have seen its signature orange door and white open brick entrance all over Instagram.
In truth, The Parker may be one of my all time favorite hotels. When you are are there, you feel as if you are in another world, one where time doesn’t exist, just day and night. One in which you can do whatever you please whenever you please… and end the day with amazing spaghetti from Norma’s with just a quick stroll to the main area.
During our stay we splurged and stayed in one of the hotel’s suites, the Jada room. It’s a complete suite with a living room, bedroom and patio. We actually extended our trip one extra night and stayed in a smaller room on the last night… however, after staying in the standard room, I would recommend staying in a suite to fully experience the magic of the Parker. The suites are significantly better than the standard rooms.
We spent our time swimming in the multiple pools, visiting the spa, playing bocce ball and petanque, sitting in the hammocks and at night by the fire pit, and of course, eating at the hotel’s two restaurants. The two restaurants are the Mr. Parker, a steak house, and Norma’s, a retro diner-type open patio restaurant. The later is my favorite of the two. I highly recommend the oatmeal (it’s the best oatmeal I have ever eaten), the carrot latkes, and the spaghetti…if thats your thing (and honestly who’s thing is not spaghetti..).
